Moving house is a team job. Who is your team? Family, friends???
This depends on the number of things you have. This may be a few items if it is your first home or a mountain of things if you are a family with four children for example.
How helpful are you friends? Can they store some of your things for a temporary time while you sort yourself out. Do they have spare room in their garage or shed for a week.

Calm down people. Moving house can be made easier by being prepared in advance.
One element that needs to be changed is your telephone line. Generally the thing to do is contact the company. For example if you are with BT they have a specialise department to help you. It might be possible to keep you current number. With Virgin it depends on local availability.
