Moving to North London? Considered Highgate?

A small journey from Muswell Hill in the North Eastern corner of Hampstead Heath you will get to Highgate. A beautiful area in North London that is the home of many celebrities due to the high quality in property and the attractive area. The village comprises of mainly Georgian style shops, rsetaurants and pubs. The Highgate society is an active conservation body that protects the character of the area.

Property prices vary significantly depending on your requirements.-
Bed sits can be rented from £110 a week towards the tube station however renting in the village is a different issue and prices for houses are high ranging up to £800 a week. High prices tell you exactly what you are getting into.
Attractions- Hampstead Heath is very close by that offers beautiful views of the area and a place to walk and take you dog. Waterloo Park is another park which is an excellent local amenity for the community.

Not such as an attraction however it’s famous as a tourist attraction is Highgate cemetery and is home to many famous dead people such as Karl Marx and Malcolm McLaren.
The high street includes the necessities you require such as restaurants, two banks, a Tesco express. If you require a bigger supermarket there are places that are easily accessible by car or bus.

Tubes/buses- Access to Central London could not be easier. Highgate tube is in zone 3 and Archway is very accessible which is in zone 2. Reaching Tottenham Court road is possible in 25 minutes. It depends on which part of Highgate you live in. Archway is at the bottom of Highgate Hill and fine if you walk to Archway as you are walking down the hill.

Banks- Barclays and Lloyds are available in the village. Money transactions can be made at the post office on Archway Road.
