Moving to North London ? considered moving to Golders Green?
Golders Green is a multi ethnic area of North London. A cosmopolitan area predominately made of Jewish and also a large Japanese community. A vibrant area and an excellent area to consider to move to with Moving etc and very easy to get to Central London.
Attractions and amenities- With the area of such a diverse capacity it is well served by restaurants and supermarkets from around the globe. Excellent sushi places are easy to find as well as restaurant and shops where you can buy kosher food as well as Asian ingredients.
Located next to the station is the Hippodrome theatre which is a grade II listed building.
There are two libraries in Golders Green. One is located on Golders Green Road and the other one in the Market Place.
Tubes and buses- Golders Green has a tube station on the Northern Line. The northern Line splits into tow and Golders Green is on the Edgware branch.
Outside the station is a National Express station for journeys northbound and a large bus stop
Places for worship- There are now a number of synagogues. There is also a large Hindu temple, a Greek Orthodox cathedral and a Coptic Orthodox church.
The High street- Here contains a good sized Sainsbury supermarket, Starbucks, WH Smith and the post office to name but a few of many. A wide range of banks have a branch in Golders Green including HSBC, Lloyds, Northern Rock and even the state bank of India. Very close by is Brent Cross Shopping Centre which is on the north circular with space for 8,000 cars.
Green spaces- Golders Green is very close to Hampstead Heath. A huge area of Green belt where dogs are walked, tennis is played, joggers run, families picnic and so much more.
Schools – Schools in the include King Alfred School and six form, Wessex Gardens Primary school. Henrietta Barnett School, Annemount Nursery and pre prep school.
